Safety Lesson

Gavin gave us another scare and an important lesson this week.    Just a couple weeks ago we decided to sell his dresser and give him the dresser that was in Dani's old room since it matches better.  With the dresser we also brought in an old tv/vcr combo so he can watch VHS tapes during "wind down" time.  So he was trying to get his swimming suit out of his top drawer in his tall dresser, but he had opened every other drawer first to look for it.  The dresser became too front heavy and tipped over throwing the heavy tv onto the back of Gavin's head.  Luckily Gavin felt the dresser falling and began to run before the tv and dresser could fall on top of him.  This could have had a much worse outcome.  I thank God for looking out for him!  Gavin has added another lump to his head (which balanced out the other from last month) but is doing fine.  We hope that some of you can also learn from our mistake and make sure that dressers and bookcases are strapped to the wall if you have little ones around.  It's definitely worth the $10 and 5 minutes!
