The 4th

This year we decided to keep it low key at the Shelton Household, which was a good thing since Mike was laid up all weekend with a back injury.  Usually we go in with the neighbors and spend way too much money blowing stuff up and have all our friends over for a BBQ.  It was a nice change of pace but I think Mike really missed putting on a show.  Gavin and I went to the Freedom Fair in Tacoma with our neighbors, Aaron and Sandra.  There were hundreds of vendors and an airshow over the water.  Gavin was pretty terrified of the noise from the jets.  He is very noise-sensitive as it is and this was over the top for him.  Next time, I'll remember the earphones!

He really liked the quiet stunt planes though.

We took a little hike through the park after the airshow.  Gavin was quite a trooper.  It was pretty warm (for Seattle) and we did a lot of walking that day.

After a quick nap on the car ride home, Gavin was ready for fireworks.

We hope you all had a wonderful 4th too!
